Annapurna Base Camp Trekking

Annapurna Base Camp Trekking Annapurna region in Central Nepal is to be the most famous geographically and culturally diverse region of Nepal with its world best trekking trail known as Annapurna base camp trek and owing the most beautiful sceneries among all treks in Nepal. The lowlands of this trekking trail includes, valleys, bamboo forest, flora fauna, rhododendron forests, alpine, desert plateaus and the full of snow Mountains.

(Our priority of this trek is to provide opportunity for local’s, guides, porters, small family run lodges therefore, we request you to choose tea house trek)

Fitness requirement:This trip involves easy and slightly moderate level trekking that requires 5-6 hours with frequent uphill and downhill walking for which you need to be physically fit and willing to walk.

 

 

Itinearary in Details

Day 01: Arrival Kathmandu International Airport, transfer to hotel and rest of the day free for leisure

Day 02: Drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara approximate (200km) and 6 hours by tourist bus.

Day 03: Pokhara - Tirkhe Dhunga OR Ulleri. Drive to Nayapul via the large village of Lumle and then start our trek to Birethanti, a large and prosperous town. Our path follows the main trail to Sudami where we climb steadily up the side of the valley, reaching Hile (1495m) before pushing on to Tirkhe Dhunga. Overnight Tirkhe Dhunga.

Day 04: Tirkhe Dhunga - Ghorepani the trail crosses a stream and then ascends a steep stone staircase to the large Magar village at Ulleri (2070m). We trek through rhododendron and oak forests and across streams before making a short, final climb to Nangethanti and then to Ghorepani (2850m). Overnight at Ghorepani.

Day 05: Ghorepani - Poon Hill - Tadapani. Starting early our climb to Poon Hill (3195m) with a brilliant spectacle from this vintage point providing an unobstructed view of sunrise over the high Himalayas . From Ghorepani the trail climbs along ridges and through pine and rhododendron forests to Deurali (2960m). We descend to reach Banthanti, then wind our way to Tadapani (2540m). Overnight at Tadapani;

Day 06: Tadapani – Chhomrung the trail drops down through rhododendron and oak forests, arriving at Chhomrung for lunch. Chhomrung is a Gurung Village , and the highest permanent settlement in the valley with tremendous view across to Annapurna South and Machhapuchhare. Overnight at Chhomrung

Day 07: Chhomrung - Dovan or Himalaya Hotel. The trail descends via a stone staircase and then crosses the Chhomrung Khola. We climb high above the Modi Khola on its west bank, passing through forests of bamboo, rhododendron. The trail now climbs to Kuldi, before descending a long, steep, stone staircase to Dovan. Overnight at Dovan

Day 08: Dovan - (Machhapurchhe Base Camp) or Annapurna Base Camp (Sanctuary) From Dovan the trail climbs high above the river, on to the lateral moraine, and down the other side to the glacier. Walking up the bed of the glacier we arrive at Base Camp (4237m). Overnight at Annapurna Base Camp

Day 09: Annapurna Base Camp – Bamboo We climb very early to the viewpoint for a stunning sunrise. After breakfast we retrace our steps to Bamboo. Overnight at Bamboo

Day 10: Bamboo- Chhomrung; From Bamboo the trail descends a long, stone staircase through bamboo and rhododendrons forests to Kuldi and leading to Sinuwa. From Sinuwa the trail leads downhill to the Modi Khola, where we then climb steeply to Chhomrung. Overnight at Chhomrung;

Day 11: Chhomrung- Ghandrung; From Chhomrung the trail heads back to Taglung, and then descends gently through forests to Kummu. The trail carries on down to Ghandrung where there are refreshing views of Annapurna South. Overnight at Ghandrung;

Day 12: Ghandrung- Pokhara; From Ghandrung we trek down hill through villages and terraced fields to Syauli Bazaar and on to Nayapul. Here we arrange transport back to Pokhara. Overnight Pokhara by ending Annapurna Base Camp Trekking

Day 13: Drive from Pokhara - Kathmandu

Day 14: Departure; Transfer to airport for flight onward
